Mocha Fudge

This year my older brother is in charge of the Christmas Candy making back home in Sweden. I don't know who came up with that brilliant idea to put him in charge of making the sweets – but good luck with that...! (Just kidding, I'm sure you'll make some lovely sweets, just try to save som for the rest of the family, okey?)

Here's a jolly good recipe that I'm sure you'll like. And it's easy too! Do however take my advice and read this article first. Especially good for newbies (read: kitchen-hazards) like you! ;-)

As you've probably noticed, I'm a huge fan of the Swedish cookie Dreams. They're incredible versatile and has such a unique, gorgeous texture. Peppermint and chocolate is a classic Christmas combination. These moreish little treats are much easier to do than you would expect and will melt in your mouth!

Pigs in Blankets

Here in the UK we've got two types of sausage rolls. There are the golden, divine, melt-in-your-mouth party nibbles – and there's the greasy, stale, tasteless and mysteriously coloured sold-in-the-garage-snack. In other words, there's the homemade version, and there's the store-bought version. Both versions are as British as British food can get.    

If you're new to English food, a sausage roll is sausage meat wrapped in pastry, eggwashed and baked in the oven until it's puffed up and attained a tempting golden colour. They can be made either with shortcrust or puff pastry and if you feel experimental you can easily mix your own spices and fresh herbs into the sausage meat. This basic recipe is as easy as it gets – yet a gorgeous English classic for Christmas.

Snowy Chocolate Crackles

I really had no idea cardamom and dark chocolate was such a lovely combination! These christmassy cookies are not only a fiest for the eye but they taste just as good (if not better!) The recipe is one of Leila's, a young Swedish baker famous for her appearances on telly and her decadent, mouth-watering cookies. This recipe is in my opinion one of her best!
